Since I was 2 years old I have suffered from dermatitis. In my childhood, when dermatitis treatments were based on pharmaceutical creams with synthetic ingredients, I always suffered irritations. So, as a young adult, I started to work with natural ingredients to develop natural skin care alternatives for my sensitive skin.

Years later, I opened one of Germany's first natural product stores and at the same time started to grow herbs for my skin care formulations to help cure my sensitive skin.

In 1987 I founded lavera, which means "the truth" and represents our philosophy and commitment to the purest organic ingredients and the absence of synthetic preservatives, additives, petroleum-based ingredients, emulsifiers, colors and fragrances. In order to assure skin tolerance, dermatological tests are done on volunteers with sensitive skin, no animal testing is performed.
