Matcha is a powder made of ground green tea leaves. It has an intense green colour and a pleasant, sweetish taste, or a slightly sharper taste if the leaves are harvested later.
Among other things, matcha is rich in tea polyphenols, fibre, caffeine, water and fat-soluble vitamins (A, B, C and E), as well as antioxidants such as epigallocatechin gallate.
The antioxidants and vitamins in green tea have a purifying effect on the scalp. Caffeine provides a feeling of freshness.
