Hanover, 22.04.2026 - April 22 has been declared Earth Day worldwide, and April 25 as Tree Day. A good reason to give you a brief update.
With funds from the lavera forest project, we have already planted over 63,000 trees across Europe.
Our first planting project was in 2021 at Benther Berg. At that time, we planted 18,000 trees on three areas: cherry, apple, wild cherry, and sweet chestnut at the forest edge to promote biodiversity. In the forest area, with the consent of the forest owners, mixed forest was established – including pines, beeches, and pedunculate oaks. Today, the trees are strong enough that the protective fences could be removed. Destroyed forest areas have become a habitat again – for insects, soil organisms, birds, bees, and all other forest animals. A recreational area that benefits both people and nature alike (see below the reforestation success 2021-2026)
