Organic Goji Berry – The Queen of Superfruits

INCI designation: Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract

Typical cultivation areas: China, Tibet

Talent: Fruity aroma for a clean skin feeling

Organic goji berries belong to the "elite squad" of so-called superfruits thanks to their abundance of valuable ingredients and their fruity aroma. These fruits live up to their name: they contain an exceptionally high amount of important nutrients and ingredients. They are among the most important plants in China and were already mentioned there in the 1st century AD. In selected lavera cleansing products, they provide a sweet aroma and a naturally fruity cleansing.

Chinese wolfberry – a small powerhouse!

The tiny, just 2 cm small, red goji berries are the fruits of the common sea buckthorn, a nightshade plant also called Chinese wolfberry. Originally, the berry comes from Asia, where it is still cultivated today. The ripe goji berries are harvested in late summer or early autumn. The thorny plant often grows along paths.

Happy Berry for Happy Skin

Its ingredients make it the true queen among superfruits. This little power fruit is almost bursting with nutrients – so many vitamins, nutrients, polysaccharides, and carotenoids are packed into such a small space.
