Life Terra Award 2024
First international award for the lavera forest project
The lavera forest project was internationally awarded for the first time – and we couldn’t be prouder! lavera wins the Life Terra Award 2024 in the category “Most impactful organisation” for the planting projects with young people in France and Italy as well as the continuous commitment to more trees across Europe.
Awarded: The Life Terra Award 2024
For our commitment and collaboration with Life Terra in Italy, we were awarded the Life Terra Award 2024. Sven Kallen, founder of Life Terra, says: “lavera provides fantastic support for the restoration of nature. Congratulations and many thanks for the continuous effort to plant more trees across Europe and involve the next generations to learn about and take action against climate change.”
These words mean a lot to us – because they show that we are on the right path. Sabine Kästner, sustainability officer at lavera, sums it up: “We are thrilled about the cooperation with Life Terra and sincerely thank Sven Kallen and his team. The Life Terra Award is our first international recognition – and that makes us incredibly proud. It’s not just about trees for us, but about habitats. Insect-friendly shrubs for more biodiversity are just as important as trees that clean the air, store water, and bind CO₂. Especially in densely populated areas or on dried-out soils, this is how we can actively combat the effects of climate change.”
