Life Terra Award 2024

First international award for the lavera forest project

The lavera forest project was internationally awarded for the first time – and we couldn’t be prouder! lavera wins the Life Terra Award 2024 in the category “Most impactful organisation” for the planting projects with young people in France and Italy as well as the continuous commitment to more trees across Europe.

Out of love for nature

In 2021, company founder Thomas Haase launched the lavera Forest Project. We have been working with nature for 35 years – and we are committed to preserving it.
Because “nature is the source of all our actions and our living environment, as well as the foundation for our cosmetics.” This conviction drives us every day and shapes everything we do.

The lavera Forest Project is funded through the sale of selected lavera products – 10 cents per product go directly to the project. This way, we can support reforestation, nature conservation, environmental education, and research across Europe. Together with you.

The forests of tomorrow - planted by the hands of youth

We have already been able to plant over 55,000 trees across Europe. In historic parks, on barren sandy soils, or where forests have died: wherever nature needs support, we take action. Together with experts like Sven Kallen from Life Terra. And above all: together with young people who plant the forests of tomorrow with shining eyes.

Because that’s exactly what it’s about. Not just trees, but enthusiasm. The feeling of making a difference. When children and teenagers plant a seedling themselves, they feel: I can change something. I am part of the solution. From this moment, a connection to nature is created that lasts – and the motivation to protect it tomorrow as well.

Awarded: The Life Terra Award 2024

For our commitment and collaboration with Life Terra in Italy, we were awarded the Life Terra Award 2024. Sven Kallen, founder of Life Terra, says: “lavera provides fantastic support for the restoration of nature. Congratulations and many thanks for the continuous effort to plant more trees across Europe and involve the next generations to learn about and take action against climate change.”

These words mean a lot to us – because they show that we are on the right path. Sabine Kästner, sustainability officer at lavera, sums it up: “We are thrilled about the cooperation with Life Terra and sincerely thank Sven Kallen and his team. The Life Terra Award is our first international recognition – and that makes us incredibly proud. It’s not just about trees for us, but about habitats. Insect-friendly shrubs for more biodiversity are just as important as trees that clean the air, store water, and bind CO₂. Especially in densely populated areas or on dried-out soils, this is how we can actively combat the effects of climate change.”

Achieve more together

With the lavera forest project, we not only enable reforestation and the transformation of forests. We make projects possible that otherwise could not take place – because clubs, schools, or individuals lack the resources. In cooperation with foundations like Life Terra and the Naturpark Karwendel association, we create spaces across Europe where nature can breathe again. And where people – especially young people – experience how powerful it is to work together.

This is how Natural Beauty becomes lived nature conservation. With every plant. With every generation. With each of you.
