An eyelash curler shapes your lashes in seconds and creates a dreamy curl. Maybe you have already discovered heated eyelash curlers? They are said to provide a quick and long-lasting curl through the heat.
For most eyelash curlers, the classic rule applies: curl first, then apply mascara! Otherwise, individual lashes could break or fall out. Remember to regularly clean the small rubber or silicone pads of your eyelash curler and replace them if they become porous or worn out.
Makeup tip for better hold
For good hold, your lashes should be dry and clean. Make sure right before applying the mascara that there are no makeup residues, concealer, or moisturizer on your lashes. These can negatively affect the staying power or cause the mascara to smudge.
1. Powder Tip
To prevent your mascara smudges from "ruining" your entire look and ending up under your eyes, you should apply some loose powder roughly under your eyes before applying mascara. This works especially well with a small cosmetic sponge.

For shorter, thin lashes, it is worth applying some powder to the lashes before mascara.

Important: Wash your eyelash comb or repurposed mascara brush thoroughly with warm water after each use, otherwise mascara residue will stick to the bristles.
Styling tip: Natural brown tones
If you tend to have lighter skin and hair types, deep black mascara can quickly look unnatural for everyday use. So it's better to opt for gentle brown tones. The contrast between the lashes and the rest of your complexion is then less pronounced and automatically looks more natural.
