When temperatures drop, your skin's needs change too. Now is the right time for a conscious change in your skincare routine: moving away from the light summer care towards richer winter care. We’ll show you what you absolutely need to keep in mind.

Tip 1: High-quality oils and natural fats

For optimal skin care in winter, you should definitely ensure sufficient moisture supply. Regular drinking is just as important as the right care products.

Creams with moisturizing and re-fatting properties help your skin protect itself from frosty temperatures and strengthen its natural barrier. This applies to your entire face and body. Because especially legs, feet, and elbows tend to dry out quickly – just like your hands, which are often exposed to the cold unprotected.

For your winter skincare products, rely on high-quality organic plant oils. Argan oil, shea butter, and evening primrose oil are especially recommended. A nourishing oil serum that additionally supplies your skin with valuable vitamins perfectly complements your care routine.

Tip 2: Gentle transition to your winter care

Before you suddenly switch to a rich day cream, give your skin time to adjust. A sudden change can cause irritation and blemishes. Therefore, gradually get your skin used to the new winter care. For example, start by keeping your usual day cream and switch to a nourishing night cream in the evening. Once your skin has adapted to the changed routine, you can also make your day care richer.

Tip 3: Shower gently, healthy climate

Even when showering in winter, you can do a lot for your skin. Make sure not to shower too long or too hot. High temperatures strip the skin of important fats.

Basically, our proven care tips for different skin types, which we have already prepared for you in our consultation section, also apply in winter. So if you have rather oily skin, for example, focus less on oil-based creams and instead rely on moisturizing products.

In general, hands and feet tend to become dry especially in winter. Small cracks or thickened calluses quickly form on the feet. A nourishing foot cream helps counteract this. For your hands, special nail or hand creams that also include nail care are recommended. Apply cream to your hands at least once in the morning and once in the evening, ideally also in between. Drinking enough water is essential even in winter. This is how you supply your body with fluids from the inside. Step 1: Cleansing

Thorough cleansing is the foundation of every good skincare routine. For skin that tends to be drier in winter, it’s best to use a rich cleansing cream or cleansing milk that provides your skin with valuable moisture.

After cleansing, you can pamper your skin with a facial toner.
