Hanover, 10/04/2023 - The Black Obsidian Mascara wins the PETA VEGAN AWARD 2023 as the "Best Vegan Mascara." A prestigious product award that once again demonstrates how well innovative product creations and the love for people, animals, and the environment can be combined, which lavera has pursued since its founding.

In 2021, the animal protection organization PETA awarded companies in the beauty sector for the first time with the PETA VEGAN AWARD, setting a sign for an animal-friendly, responsible future of the industry. This year, a total of 24 companies from the fields of decorative cosmetics, body care, and oral hygiene were honored – including lavera with the Black Obsidian Mascara.

The winners of the PETA VEGAN AWARDS 2023 were evaluated by an expert jury based on criteria such as effectiveness, skin and fragrance feel, innovation, quality, clear vegan labeling, and expansion of brand diversity.
