Hanover, 08/04/2022 - For the second time in a row, lavera Natural Beauty has convinced the strict judges of the animal protection organization PETA Germany: The basis sensitiv Firming Body Lotion Q10 wins the Vegan Beauty Award 2022 in the category "Best Body Care".
After the basis sensitiv Cream was awarded the PETA Vegan Beauty Award last year, we are very pleased that another lavera product has been honored again this year: our basis sensitiv Firming Body Lotion Q10. PETA Germany awards providers of vegan and cruelty-free cosmetic products in 17 different categories with this prize. Important test criteria include effectiveness, fragrance, skin feel, and packaging of the products.
“Lavera demonstrates exemplary with the basis sensitiv Firming Body Lotion Q10 that animal ingredients and animal testing belong to the past. Vegan and modern product creations are good for animals, people, and the environment. We hope that more companies will follow this example and warmly congratulate the winner of the Vegan Beauty Award in the Best Body Care category,” says Harald Ullmann, co-founder and 2nd chairman of PETA Germany.
The basis sensitiv Firming Body Lotion Q10 contains exclusively plant-based ingredients, most of which come from certified organic farming. “The formula is biodegradable. In addition, the plastic bottle developed especially for lavera, including the closure, is made from 100% recycled material and saves around 16 tons of CO2* emissions compared to the old packaging in 2022,” says Susann Vogel, Head of Communications at lavera Natural Beauty. Additionally, 10 cents from every body lotion sold go to the lavera forest project, which reforests climate-damaged forest areas in the Hanover region.
