We go through long and complex certification processes with every single product, ultimately so that we can give our customers transparency and security about what exactly they are buying, using a series of labels.

We ensure binding standards

For decades, very different criteria were used in Germany and Europe to evaluate natural cosmetics, which caused a lot of confusion.

That’s why in 2009, we were one of the first brands ever to certify the majority of our products according to the strict, internationally recognised NATRUE standard, which is one of the strictest in the world. This provides a precise definition of which natural, near-natural and nature-identical ingredients may be contained in which products and in which proportions.

We’re all about plants

The Vegan Society has been awarding their well-known label in the United Kingdom since 1945. It has adorned our products since May 2004 and has now conquered a large part of our entire range. It indicates that no animal ingredients have been used, such as wool wax derived from sheep, which we have almost completely replaced with purely vegetable substances thanks to technical innovations.

Quality comes first

For us at lavera, it was clear from the very beginning that we would not compromise on the quality of our natural beauty products. Hence our clear commitment to natural ingredients produced through controlled organic cultivation. For more than 10 years, the lavera product range has carried the organic logo that we developed ourselves and represents more than 300 organic plant-based ingredients, plant fluids and organic plant complexes, most of which we produce ourselves in the Hanover region.
