What is Dolcévia®?
The vegan ingredient Dolcévia® is a natural extract derived from the dried leaves of Stevia rebaudiana (also known as sweet herb, honey leaf, or stevia). The stevia plant belongs to the sunflower family. Perhaps you’ve even tried parts of this plant before? The so-called steviol glycosides – the sweeteners found in stevia leaves – are sometimes used in food products. Steviol glycosides are 400 times sweeter than regular table sugar and completely calorie-free.
