The use of PHA in cosmetics

Natural PHA, like the gluconolactone we use, is obtained through the fermentation of glucose. This ingredient is then available as a white crystalline powder. Since PHA gluconolactone penetrates less deeply into the skin compared to alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) and works superficially, it is particularly compatible, especially with sensitive skin.

PHA acts superficially on the skin, where it is antioxidant, exfoliating, and dissolves blackheads. By removing dead skin cells, gluconolactone also accelerates cell renewal and supports the regeneration of skin cells, giving you a smoother complexion and glow. Additionally, PHAs strengthen the skin barrier and serve as a moisturizer, helping your skin achieve a radiant appearance.
